Wellbeing isn’t a bolt on.

It isn’t a set of nice things we do for staff.

It isn’t something leaders can delegate.

It permeates through every aspect of school life.

How do our words, actions and expectations support staff to balance the emotional, social, economic and practical challenges they face on a daily basis?

The words leaders choose to use around and also away from staff sets the mood and culture of the school.

The words people hear from leaders will be echoed and multiplied across the school.

Where does wellbeing start? With the behaviour of leaders.
