The quality of the headteacher’s leadership

I‘be been thinking about what might be the single most important factor in determining the quality of a school.

I think, for me, it would be the quality of the headteacher’s leadership.

I don’t know how this is measurable or quantifiable - but it’s what I feel.

In short, the headteacher drives direction, fuels motivation and raises expectations.

The power of this, when done well, has a far reaching knock on effect to practically every area of school life.
